Description

Herb Valley Allergy & Sinus Relief is a traditional remedy for the symptomatic relief of hay fever, upper respiratory tract infections, colds, flu and mucous congestion. This formulation delivers a range of ingredients that deliver relief.

Horseradish

Horseradish is traditionally used in combination with other ingredients such as garlic in herbal decongestant formulas.

Garlic

Garlic is recognised world wide as an antimicrobial and immune-enhancing agent1. Alliin, found in garlic, has been shown to exert antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic and antiviral activities. It may also help to reduce the duration of the common cold.

Marshmallow Root

Marshmallow is an erect perennial herb with gray-green, velvety leaves and pale pink flowers. Botanical Name Althaea officinalis Marshmallow is from the Mallow (Malvaceae) family.
The root, which is harvested in late autumn, has demulcent, diuretic, emollient, and vulnerary properties. It is generally used for digestive and skin problems, specifically inflammations of the mouth, gastritis, peptic ulcer, enteritis and colitis.

Vitamin C

Ascorbic acid or Vitamin C is an antioxidant. Vitamin C helps to reduce the duration and severity of colds. There is some evidence to suggest that vitamin C may help treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis by preventing the secretion of histamine by white blood cells and increases detoxification of histamine. Some studies also reported that vitamin C may help control hay fever by keeping hay fever in remission.

Zinc

Adequate zinc intake is essential in maintaining the integrity of the immune system and zinc deficient individuals are known to experience increased susceptibility to a variety of infectious agents. Current studies showed promise that zinc may help in the treatment of immune-related conditions such as the common cold.
